I continued work on the transcript of Fr. Doll’s interview, finally completing the first one on the shoot in Ireland (1 hour).

Dave and I then went to the Rare Books Room to meet with Jon, a student worker with the St. John’s Church. Together, he and I selected and and arranged some of the artifacts that were in the Rare Books Room to create an exhibit out of them. Dave advised us to keep in mind the creation of a narrative, so we arranged a few groupings of items in use around the altar (chalices, candlesticks, etc.), items used by traveling priests and deacons for sacraments away from the church, items used when a bishop visits the church, and items used for worship, especially for making sound (3 hours).

These items (above) would be used for the sacrament of Anointing of the Sick. We decided to use this angled cushion to give the display some depth and perspective.

Some of the pieces used around the altar. We discussed how to use stands to give prominence to certain objects or to prevent them from getting “lost,” such as the wooden cup (a ciborium) in the back.
