Research proposal: Information needs and seeking among expat teachers
in South Korea

For LIS 60613: Information Needs, Seeking, and Use, I reviewed the existing literature and research on expat information needs and seeking in foreign countries, finding a research gap in the particular information landscape and behavior of Expat English-language teachers in South Korea. To remedy the research gap, I proposed a qualitative study to determine the information needs and seeking behaviors of expat teachers in South Korea in order to better understand the word-of-mouth information seeking and sharing habits of immigrant communities.
