Research Proposal: Blind and Low-vision users and OverDrive digital library materials at public libraries

In this assignment for LIS 60050: Research and Assessment in Library and Information Science, I examined and synthesized the current research on the accessibility of digital resources for blind and low-vision users at libraries, identified a gap in the research surrounding the topic, and proposed a research design to address the gap. With better data regarding how well assistive technologies are serving their communities in public libraries, institutions can better evaluate the value of their current accessibility systems in order to better serve typically underserved populations.
