After printing some black-and-white proofs of the labels, I decided that the labels were too long width-wise and the font size was too small to be adequately viewed in the exhibition. Back to the drawing board! I worked on creating new proofs of the labels with larger font and different spacing to allow for the labels to be placed closer together without looking cluttered (3 hours).
Then, having made the labels to the sizing I wanted, I worked on setting up the augmented reality environments for the augmented reality components, which need an anchor image, in this case the label itself to its defined size proportions, to pin the QR code to. Since the AR components were not yet ready, I decided it would be valuable for me to make two versions, the ones with QR codes and the ones without, to make the transition more seamless after the components were ready. (1 hour)

A working label with a tracking QR code attached.
AR can be accessed through the Zappar app.
Last, I continued work on developing the numbering system for accessioning Ron Hansen papers, but got a little stuck. Since we had determined the numbers to go up to 16 digits, I was running into problems about how to have placeholders for items that didn’t really need all 16 digits, such as the correspondence, which was to be ordered chronologically. My stumbling block was that anything too specific about dates or ordering could run into problems if and when more correspondence arrived, which is a definite possibility, since the collection is still growing. I resolved to work on finalizing the Writings category and make a note to talk to Dave about the other points later. (1.5 hours)
